I'm using jungle flasher. i unlocked the drive just fine, was able to save the key! but then when i went to flash the drive my computer froze up or something and it did a bad flash! Please tell me that i didn't just brick the drive. I need help bad.

If your computer froze in the middle of a Hitachi flash, it is bricked. Hitachi drives do not support bad flash recovery.
Your options are:
1. Desolder the TSOP and reprogram it with an external programmer.
2. Spoof your DVDkey to a BenQ/Samsung/Lite-ON.
i think i would just get a benq and spoof it. not really sure of what the benefit of using a lite-on would be, and benqs are usually cheaper than lite-ons anyways.

this is what's odd....i can't get it to flash because it says that the firmware is bad.....so i decided to just put it back together and put in an original game....and IT PLAYS!!!! Can someone explain this?? Thankyou guys for your time responding to my problems!

It might not have got to the flashing process then. It might have froze when it was dumping the firmware. In that case it shouldn't have bricked your drive, which it didn't.
