Ok
this is EPIC story I had just before.
As I posted before, I flashed my BenQ using iXtreme 1.6 and got some back-ups running and some games giving me "open tray" error.
games are good ripped cuz they all work fine on my friend's modded 360.
I found out that he flashed using iXtreme 1.4.1 non-stealth.
So I figured those games weren't playable on stealth flshed drive.
I downloaded 1.4.1 and iprep 101...dont run on my vista...
I convinced my mother to watch movie and I took over her comp and I installed netframe.2 and everything.
Took sometime to install sata card in her PC and now Im all ready.
first time, I forgot to check the MTK Flash box on iPrep101 so I restarted it.
writing bank 0...........
writing bank 1...........
writing bank 2...........
writing bank 3...........
finish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
YYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSS Im so @@@@ing genius!!! lets go have a cigarette!!!
and suddenly.......
my teary eye gets reflected by flashing red lights.......
ps. the 360 was gamestop refurbished so Im going to return it for the other refurb one tomorrow

Umm it would of been a lot easier to reburn the games. When you do not have ix 1.51+ you need to patch new games to play on you console, which will get banned from live.

sounds to me like he did. that and it would be easier to figure out whats wrong if you said how many lights were flashing, what the error code was.

"Just fiddle with the wires" ?!?!?! Yea coz that'll work!!!
I think what you mean is that the video cable wasn't in correctly and it was flashing 4 red rings instead of 3 and you didn't notice!!!

Lol, you probably didn't connect the power to the back of the xbox correctly.

No, I'm the luckiest guy. In July 2008, I had to return my 360 to best buy for a bad hard drive. At this time, the new evil lite ons were out on shelves and the week before, my buddy picked a lite on and had to return it. And remember this was way before there was any hope of flashing them. So I long story short, I picked a random box and got lucky with a benq. Now thats luck.

you call that luck? my luck is way better than yours. The first drive that i flashed in november last year was a Hitachi 79FK, The hardest to flash. A liteon can be recoverd from a bad flash but a Hitachi cant. Podgers 79 Unlock was only released 2 days before i flashed the 79 if i thought about flashing the 79 a week or 2 eariler i would of probably bought the chip that you have to solder. Luckly a noob successfuly flashed a 79FK and luckly podgers 79 unlock was released 2 days before the noob flashed the 79 =) now thats luck
