I would update the loader to NeoGamma R6 and stop using Wiigator.

324 error is usually a media issue. Try using different media.

324 read error is commonly caused by not book typing your drive to DVD+R. Also some drives don't support book typing ether. Tell me if you have book typed and what drive you have and I'll take it from there.

Im curently use firmware 3.2 and cant seem to get the gamecube games working. Iv already done a wii with 4.0 using banner bomb and every thing works grate. Yes you can hack a wii with 4.1E.

When you use Nintendo servers to upgrade from 3.2 you will automatically go strait to 4.1E, I'm assuming you already have homebrew installed so it should be cake. If you don't though, just do the banner bomb portion as instructed in the tutorial and you're back in business.

Use the guide here to upgrade. The hack for 4.1e is exactly the same as 4.0 so the process should be exactly the same. However, the files in the SOFTMOD PACK download have been updated now so that you get the latest cIOS38_rev14 and wadmanager 1.5. Other than that, not much has changed since you last modded your other 4.0 console.

No idea about gamecube support, i don't play gamecube. However, THIS might be of some help to you.

Please search the forum for more assistance. I'm sure there are other posts that can help you with the gamecube stuff.

hi guys I posted this elsewhere on the forum but no-one replied and I'm on 4.1E so hoping one of you chaps will help a poor struggling Noob

Hi guys,

I know this question seems to be done to death but I don't understand what is wrong in this case at all. I loaded the Homebrew channel from Loadmii sofware application I downloaded and it installs everything ok up to it installing the channel itself. Then is says go into the channel and continue loading some .wad files and some other bits to complete install. When I go on it won't read the SD card, tried another card no luck, tried installing the updated HBC V.1.0.3 which it says online fixes this problem and it doesn't. Please help what am I doing wrong! any help would be very appreciated. I can post the instructions I followed if that helps

Cheers

Fletch

here are the instructions i followed if it helps:
DELETE EVERYTHING ON YOUR SD CARD
ONLY THE FILES IN THIS PACKGAGE SHOULD BE ON THE SD CARD!!!

A WIFI CONNECTION IS NEEDED FOR THIS

Go to Data Management on your wii menu
then choose Channels followed by SD

Choose "Yes" to load boot.dol

LoadMii will then load.

Press "A" on the WiiMote.

Go down to DowngraderIOS35.dol and run it by pressing "A" on the WiiMote.

Choose downgrade IOS35 and then let it do its buisness, then choose exit dontinstall the patchmii or dvdx

You'll be back in LoadMii now.

Go down and run Wad Manager 1.4 by pressing "A" on WiiMote.

Just select normal settings (don't change IOS)

Install IOS35.wad.

Exit Wad Manager 1.4 by pressing "HOME"

You'll be back in LoadMii.

Run Wad Manager again, when it asked what IOS to use Select IOS35

Now Install the CIOSv7.wad.

Press "Home" to exit.

Run Wad Manager again, when it asked what IOS to use Select IOS249.

Install IOS36.wad & HBC.wad

Exit Wad Manager 1.4 by pressing "HOME"

Now restart Wii by holding the power button (pressing the home button does not seem to work)

Homebrew channel should now be installed

Make sure your WIFI is Connected

Launch the HomeBrew Channel and run WAD manager (dont change the IOS) and install IOS60patched.wad, then restart wii.

Launch the homebrew channel again and run cios rev10 installer (this is the cool channel with funky music)

Make sre you Choose network install not wad instal (change by pressign left or right on the remote)

It may freeze at the end but dont panic just wait a few moments, your wii will then auto reboot into the system menu

Launch the homebrew channel again and run IOSdowngrader

Then press "A" to proceed

This Install Will take quite a while which is why i sped it up in the video

when its finished press any button to reboot the wii

Launch Homebrew Channel again and Run CIOSCORP and it shoudl automaticly start installing

This Again May take a while so i sped it up in the video

When it is finished press any button to reboot your wii

Your system Menu should be now Soft Modded =]

You now can play backup games just like the real games from the game channel.

Finally Run preloader 0.29 in the homebrew channel and press 1 to install. Then setup preloader up like i have done in the video.
(or if you know what your doing, set it up how you like.)

I got to the part in bold above, the channel runs but wont pickup SD card???

Well for anyone else who this may help I have sorted it. it was caused by a number of things, A: .dol/elf files needed to be on SD card in a folder called apps which has to have a folder in that called wad with your .dol/elf file in it. this is the only way it would read the SD card files in homebrew channel V1.0.3, for me anyway!
second I gave up on the loadmii instructions removed the homebrew channel it installed and I started from scratch using hackmii installer V beta2. now channel is picking up both my SD cards the larger of which I used bootmii to create a nand backup just in case then installed homebrew browser v 03.03 which works ok bar one error dump when scrolling the games menu. not sure what firmware

Quick summary to help people like me sifting through these forums:
i'm on menu V4.1E
used Hackmii installer beta v2 from their website
used bootmii installed as an IOS
(in english you run Bootmii through HBC, as it installs bootmii in channel menu that appears when you press home) you also need to keep SD card in and n64 controller plugged in for Bootmii to install/work.

it's taken 3 days 2am nights and a sh** load of reading and finger crossing while I hoped I hadn't bricked my Wii but I finally did it !!!!! next stop is trying to install the backup launcher

sorry for writing such a long message but it may help someone else like me so stuff it.

good luck to all noobs like me and praise the programmers

Fletch

Use IMGBurn to burn your Wii ISO (it is free).
