in the usual spot Eamos, do a search for working boxes ireland or see the sticky on fixes(sticky is a bit outdated)

NULL MODEM for most boxes
but a Crossover network cable will do ya for a DBox or Dreambox

Thanks i dunno there appears to be no input for a crossover cable. It is The Box model which went down on a friend of mine who recently bought a kryptview ..I just tryng to install firmware to see can anything be done

A the Box is not a DBox
A the box is a starview2, will only work on Ch0rus cable in Ireland, there is no Nagra2 fix for this box

Thats what i was thinking from reading the posts.So basically no new firmware will work for ntl.Im not sure what signal it is if its ntl or chorus.If it was chorus signal could it be fixed with new firmware

No firmware for SV1/2/3
Keep an eye on the thread Only boxes working in Ireland.
All boxes will work on 'chorus cable' with December/January fixes

DBoxes are big old boxes made by Sagem/Nokia/Philips, they run linux and have a nagravision2 fix out for them
