Hi guys,

It was a good while ago I updated the kids Xbox and it was I extreme 1.51 FW that the sammy got flashed with.. as far as I see its still running well but on reading I see there is a newer FW 1.6 now.. should I update to this or are we still ok to leave things the way they are for a while?

Ive had no problems with 1.51 but wondered what the newer FW was all about?

iXtreme 1.6 has a couple more features:

Strict Stealth checking
0800 Mode for Windows
One shot boot mode

Personally, I would do the update to have the latest firmware on the drive. But if you are checking all your ISOs with ABGX before burning, then you shouldn't have an issue.

most new games that are coming out now are called "wave 3" and 1.6 is the only FW that will play them.
