I currently have a problem, after deleting all my apps from homebrew i had to start from scratch, i could not find the old apps i had that work a treat. so i posted a thing here stating my problem i got told to download wadmanager and install a wii channel called backup launcher, my wii firmwere is on version 3.3E.
All my old games that used to work with the old apps still work and i have continued to use the same laptop and program to burn 2 new games tonight, Beach fun summer challenge and wii sport resort, both have came up with error #001 unauthorized device has been detected, i am currently going to now burn another game and see if i have same outcome and also am going to change from pal to ntcs to see if this helps.. please any help would be appreciated.
I am a total newbie so please in as much detail lol

Well, some games can detect drive to see unathorized devices. I suggest using Generic Wii Patcher and Trucha signer which should be around here in the forums.

Man this is driving me up the wall, would it be worth it to delete everything and take wii back to factory default then connect to internet and connect it to internet and let it download firmware.
I believe the latest version is something like 4.4/
Then start from scratch at 4.4 with a guide?

I don't understand why you would have issues if your Wiikey hhas the latest firmware on it.
Also I would update to the latest Wii firmware which is 4.1 (not 4.4).
If you still get the error then try using Gecko OS to boot the game.
You can get it HERE.

Formating the system memory does not reset the Wii back to factory default. So don't format.
Plus this is sam369 thread not your thread. You have a softmod and he has a Modchip so the steps to fix this issue will more then likley be diffrent. So if you want help start your own thread.

You can try Gecko OS and see if that gets rid of the #001 error. And yes update to 3.1 firmware as normal.
