Hi All,
I know ye have all heard all sorts of rumors before about the nagra 3 switch over but I have it from a very high up source in N*L that this is to happen on the 9th September 2009. So enjoy the channels while you can, as and from the 9th September there will be no box working in Ireland. Believe or believe not it?s your choice. And so far nowhere has affix for the nagra 3.

LOL I know, NTL/UPC must have 1million+ employees in dublin alone who are all high up managers/directors and close friends of everyone I know
Sounds to me like lorriby24 is a sales person for UPC and is pissed off they got no commission in this months pay cheque since more and more boxes are getting Nagra2 fixes.
I've no doubt that the Nagra2 stream will be turned off, but I wont believe rumors with exact dates from a 1st poster

Why are you all freaking out at him? He's hardly going to get any benefit whatsoever from telling you this.. so why the abuse?
At least he's giving an actual date as opposed to a generic timeframe like most others.
If you don't believe him, ignore it.
If you do believe him, and you happen to be in the market for a new box around September... hold off until after the 9th if you want.
I don't see how the OP's thread can be negative... unless you just like jumping down peoples throats for very little reason.

Could'nt agree more Vertakill.
We all know the switch off of Nagra 2 is "on the cards"
and now when someone gives a date, whether accurate or not,
all hell breaks out. :-)
And if it does happen on Sept 9th. I suppose it will all be lorriby24's fault.

N3 isnt coming, its already in use.
They will simply start turning of N2 on various channels like they did with N1, WHEN? All the people who had the DVRs with the N2 cards Get there new N3 cards(which they are currently doing)
Once completed n2 will start dropping.

Everyone already knows the Channels on the Nagravision2 stream will be turned off on NTL Ireland soon just like what happened with the Nagravision1 stream
