1.Is there a soft mod for it?

2.Is there a way I can transfer movies via usb cable to the 60 gig hdd that comes with it?

Yes, for all 4 DVD drive types. iXtreme firmware.

If you have some movies on a USB hard drive, I'm sure you could watch it from that. I bet somebody will come along and elaborate more.

For that iXtreme do you need to buy any other separete items?

Also for my second questions there's not way I can hook up a usb from my comp to the 360 and transfer?

1. It depends on what DVD drive your 360 has.

2. I don't really understand your question. Do you mean plug in a male to male USB adapter? I have personally never tried it but I don't think it would work. Who knows.

If your PC's SATA chipset is compatible, you can flash the drive. If it is not, you will need to purchase a VIA PCI SATA card with the 6421 chipset. If you have a Lite-ON, you will need a key-reader to dump the key and drive specific info. Examples: Maximus Xtractor PRO with Spear or CK3 Pro with Probe. There is also a homemade probe, the guide can be found in the ultimate sticky.
