Everything appears fine, except it wont detect any discs (burned or original). I followed the first guide step by step, then stopped after installing IOS60Patched and NeoGamma R6.
From there I installed bootmii and dvdx. Then made a backup to my SD card. I then continued to follow the second guide step by step. When all finished, I popped in a known working backup disc (works on a friends modded system) and I got nothing. Then I put in a few different original discs and still got nothing.
Now I used RestoreMii to bring me back to just after installing IOS60Patched and NeoGamma R6, and the wii still wont read original discs.
Are you certain that you made the bootmii back up (nand.bin) before doing anything with cIOScorp?
And you're sure that you restored it? (It said that it was going to run in simulation mode, then it said it was going to do it for real, and then it asked you if you have considered donating... do you remember all of those?)
I ask this because when you restore with bootmii everything on the Wii (not on the SD card) goes back to the way things were when you made the backup. Restoring your nand from before doing anything with cIOScorp would completely undo all of cIOScorp's IOSes.
Also are you trying these original discs through the disc channel?
So when I got back, I decided to apply the backup again. Bootmii found a few changes and corrected them. Now my wii plays retail games again. I really don't know what changed, but whatever it works.
So now I'm trying to continue with the second guide again. Again the backup places me right after installing IOS60Patched and NeoGamma R6.
I try running AnyRegionChanger but I get a few errors when it first loads "ES_Open TitleContent (ret = -1026)".
When I get to the menu screen I get a reg flag saying there is a area/sysMenu mismatch. Then where is says Installed region, it shows a - instead of U
Also I noticed that the second guide has AnyRegion Changer listed as step 1 now. It used to be step 2, so does anyone know what step 1 used to be before it got edited?
