Anyone know why my xbox power light flashes after i shut it off and xbox refuses to read any disc and my xbox is not flashed at all.

Is it a Samsung? I know there was some kind of issue where the Samsung would stop responding and cause the middle light to flash rapidly.

I dont know if its a samsung. The xbox is an elite system bought a little over a year ago. I dont know if they switched to samsung since then or not. Also the middle light just flashes once and the xbox sounds like its still on then the light flashes and it goes off. I have not tried to flash it ever.

The drive will probably be a BenQ or a Lite-ON. So there is no kind of errors on the screen?

Nope no error just refuses to read any disc and when i shut it down the light flashes once then it shuts all the way down

Well the XBOX 360 is probably out of the 1 year warranty. You could try to fix yourself, just make sure you preserve your warranty sticker. If the drive powers on, you could dump the firmware and flash to a new drive.

I dont know how to flash the drive or anything. Wouldnt flashing make the xbox unable to go on xbox live?

it would allow you to play your games again.. and if you flashed it with the ixtreme it would allow you to play backups

Your drive is shot. You will need to replace it. If you get the exact same model, you can swap PCBs and avoid flashing.
