I'm wondering what are the differences between the SH-S223Q and its replacement SH-S223L. SH-S223Q has all the great customer reviews and the SH-S223L is supposed to be the upgraded version.........but I dont want to get the SH-S223L because the product may actually be inferior to the one it is replacing.

I use dual layer Verbatims for my media.

I have the "Q" version and it has never failed me. I have wondering why NewEgg has the "Q" on auto-notify. As for the differences, I couldn't really tell you. Maybe it's something internally Samsung has revised. Not for sure. If I find out anything I'll post back.

The specs for the "L" version on NewEgg say that it cant use dual layer media which is different from what the Samsung site says....I believe the Samsung site. I believe NewEgg has it on auto-notify becase its out of stock.
