Ok Ive flashed about 3 samsungs 2 hitachis 2 benqs and 5 liteons so im not really a noob. Ive gotten the "serial data is bad" before but i would just restart jungle flasher or power cycle the drive and that seemed to work. But on this drive I cannot get the key off. Im using a connectivity kit and the usb liteon key extractor from www.easymg.com. I have jungle flasher 1.51, 1.6, and 1.62 none of them have succeeded in getting the key from this drive. The drive is out of a brand new xbox 360 pro. Liteon drive manufacture date June 2009. HW Ver A0A2 FW Ver 83850C. Ive tried reinstalling the extractor drivers and tried messing with the tray position but nothing seems to work. Has my extractor died on me or is this a new drive that requires some different steps or what please help.

Yeah, the Key can't be dumped off of the 83850C. We all are waiting to hear from Team HyperX about this. They have decrypted the new firmware revision and checking to see if there are any other ways to get the key. If all else fails, they have a workaround. They should be releasing info about it any time soon.

Are you kidding me have they told anyone the work around yet ive got a second drive that i can try and put the key on so i wont mess up the original just in case it doesnt work.

Any day now I presume. You still need to dump the key from the first drive, and it that won't happen until Team HyperX let's us now how to do that on a 83850C.
