Hi everyone I am trying to update a ex1000 sl but with no luck !! I have already done 1 box and it worked fine now my mate has got 1 and the firmware just won't work I have loaded a few differant firmwares on it but it keeps saying " please wait updating code " even after leaving it for a hour or so it still isn't coming on !! Emu is on I have factory reset it but still nothing !!!

It is driving me mad now ha ha !!!

For uk use nov/dec 2008 fix
Chorus cable(IRL) nov/dec 2008 fix
N*L(IRL) july 2009 fix
you could hit DEFAULT key before flash
After fac. reset you must turn on emulator
Be sure to hit RED to save emulator enable

Cable is down in Manchester, Wigan and Preston. Maybe you area is affected also. See if you Max V comes backs when it does the flashed 1000 should too.

OK sorry confused now :) Stay with the EX1000, you are not using the latest firmware. Do you know if its a clone or genuine box? Look down through the grills if you see a silver heatsink on the cpu its a clone.

Need to know this first.

Sounds like a clone where did you get it? You will have to stick with the darx-01-12-08 firmware. It still works in the UK.

If it is a clone the older firmware will work as said. But I would still ask for a genuine model if I paid for one. What happens if for instance the keyroll method is changed again and you need a new firmware, it wont work on a clone.

Did you try transferring a CDF from a working box? What does it says in system info and did you try pressing the default key button as said above once you checked emulation was on?
