Starview 4 screen blank on some channels?

Hi.Its my first post as I have always used the search function and found the answers.
I got a Starview 4 today,flashed it and everything is ok bar I am getting blank screens on the following channels!

Channel Freq.
118 More 4 355500
201 BBC News 24 363500
202 Sky News 323000
206 BBC World 291000
323 Film Four 355500
604 Nickelodeon 363500
608 CBBC 363500
609 Cbeebies 363500
617 CN TOO 418250
701 MTV 363500
702 MTV2 418250
705 MTV Dance 363500
707 VH1 Classic 418250
708 MTVR 418250
716 4Music 418250

Have tried everything I can think of i.e reflashing ,resetting, manual scan etc.Has anyone any ideas?

Yes.I have all the other channels,movies etc but I only have a blank screen for the channels above.I can get the info bar with the freq and a blank screen .The signal strenght is fine.Am in Dublin btw.

I have the same problem as do some of my friends. I am working on version 1.1o from June 09. Have tried to find the channels manually. HAve found them but they are blank. I would greatly appreciate some help!! Thanks

you need to flash the box with the latest firmware, the Beta one, it is in the above link, but as I am saying anyone, read the link for clones of the SV4 which is above, beofre ya flash the box as the new firmware will kill the SV if it is a clone.

i have a stv 4 usb of my neighbours 2 doors away at his house on a scan he cant pick up movies or sports channels if i channel dump mine at his house they all come up with no signal yet if i bring it back to my house 2 doors away they all work fine any ideas tried 1.07 1.10 and the new 1.12

Does he have standard digital reception without the box connected?
Is so it must be a cabeling issue.

not sure i follow you there mate i seem to think its his cable but its good quality stuff all done properly by virglin 3 weeks ago he has a starview 4 usb a starview box super and 2 x the box and the 2 latest models are doing the same thing but the 2 older boxes are working fine its mainly freq 731000 747000 and 739000 that wont get any signal they wont even find the channels if i scan at his house yet they pick up fine at my house

he's now tried one of my cables going from his brown box half way up the outside wall down into his consevatory and its still the same i am well and truely stumped
