Hi Im new here but have been looking around on here for a couple days. Is there a way to play backup games without modding your xbox? I read some threads that make me think I dont have to then others that say you do. I have dl all kinds of programs I have seen mentioned on here. I have everything I need but a modded xbox. Thanks in advance.

No, you must flash your drive with iXtreme firmware in order to play backups.

It's not that advanced yet. You have to do it the old-fashioned way and actually mod your xbox to play back-up games. Perhaps in the near future, keeping in mind MS is allowing games on demand and play straight from the HD, we'll be able to rip games straight to the HD and play from there as was the case with the first xbox.

I'm still waiting for that day to come myself. It's best to stay hopeful and pray.
