I just clicked the erase button my lite-on, and power cycled it.

But I was stupid and power cycled it AGAIN, while it was detecting the serial drive (while the second row of dots were growing).

am I screwed? am I gonna have to dosflash it (that's what I had to do when I bricked a lite-on the first time)?

right now it's working, but it has detected the name and size of the flash chip as unknown.

it's working really slooooooooowly......

omg

weird.

i gave up on the jungleflasher, and used dosflash

I successfully erased and wrote ixtreme 1.6 onto the 360

the drive seems to work fine

however, right now, whenever I put in a 360 game, real or backup, it won't play!

when i put in a backup, it gets stuck on a white screen showing the xbox 360 logo

when i put in a real 360 game, it says "in order to play this game, put it in your 360" as if the drive was a computer dvd drive

what happened?!

i used this firmware:
http://www.ixtreme.net/downloads/ixtreme-firmware-t167.html

btw: this 360 has never been updated, it still uses the "blade" user interface

edit: i think this should go in its own title thread, makin a new one

If that flash chip is unknown. Shut the drive off and disconnect it. Shut down Jungle Flasher. Connect the drive again to same SATA port, turn on, and start up Jungle Flasher. Go ahead and select the SAME SATA port under MTKFlash and click the Lite-ON Erase again. Power cycle when prompted. You should get good flash chip properties.
