Hi just wanted to get some feed back on my incident with my wii

I successfully softmodded my wii and installed all the necceary things well acordin to this guide http://www.gbatemp.net/lofiversion/index.php/t144835-0.html i did the offline one because i was lucky to have a wii that doesnt connect to the internet :(. i did everything except step 7 because i didnt have a bigger sd card. Well i was thinking to myself how can i fix the internet issue and then it popped in my head to reformat the system memory so i did. what happen was that the wii menu stoped working the only thing that worked was the hombrew channel so then i did steps 11 and 12 now my wii wont even start just get a black screen. does anybody know about this or ever had this problem before?

I get a kick out of users that format there system thinking it will bring the system back to a default state.

Formating the system memory will not change IOS system files. It will only delete GameSaves/Mii's/VC ?Wiiware/added channels etc. etc.

Did you have Bootmii installed?

Can you still get into the Homebrew Channel?

I would start over by formating the SD Card. Make sure you save the Bootmii folder at the root of the SD card to your PC. After formating the SD card transfer the Bootmii folder back to the root of the SD card so Bootmii can still be launched.

Now delete all the files you downloaded previously and then extract the Offline_Downgrade_Upgrade.zip again to start off fresh.

Now run prepare.bat and choose 449 for 4.1U firmware.

After it downloads the files transfer them to the SD card and follow step 11 and 12 again. Hopefully this will fix your issue.

This would be so much simpler if the Wii had Internet access.
