I followed an earlier version of larrylje guide on my brothers, but now need to consider updating it...

So this install was ....
DowngraderIOS35.dol
Wadmanager - Install IOS35.wad (not sure why did this after downgrading IOS35?)
Wad Manager - Install CIOSv7
Wad Manager - install IOS36.wad & BUL3G.wad & HBC.wad.
IOS60patched.wad, CIOS38_rev13.wad. Then IOSdowngrader in HBC

So whats the best way of upgrading this to latest versions?

Should I install cIOS38_rev14 (I assume will overwrite rev13)
Remove BUL3G.wad via wad manager, then install NeoGammaR6-NGBL.wad

Is this all I would need to do?

install v14 over the top. I like USB Loader GX better, because of the way it looks and every iso i have works.

Just out of interest, why in that original install did we install IOS354.WAD after installing DowngraderIOS35.dol ? Just being nosy really but would like to understand why...

IOS35.wad patches the IOS35 so you can install cIOS with it. Before you can patch the IOS35 you needed to downgrade it.
