I have never used anything except for Sony DVDs, and I've burned a lot of games. It works 99% of the time on my desktop computer.

However, when I try to do a burn using my laptop computer, it is successful only about 50% of the time. When it errors, I get the exact same error message that you are getting now. I have tried burning a game 4x in a row before on my laptop and all failed. Then I gave up on the laptop and tried the desktop PC. Lo' and behold, it worked flawlessly.

So, are you using a laptop computer or otherwise crappy DVD burner? That's been my issue when I've gotten that error using the same media type.

And now that I think about it, I think Ghostbusters was the game that gave me the 4 coasters in a row. Coincidence? *shrug*

Yes, i'm using a laptop with an external burner(LG GSA 5163D). I've made copies of over 40 games and haven't had any problems with Sony media. Since you mentioned having trouble with ghost busters i burned 3 other games with out any problems and still can't get ghost busters to burn correctly.

That's weird. I was getting that same "Bad Write Address" error as well with Ghostbusters.

I would try burning the game with a different DVD burner. It seems like an external drive should do just fine, but I guess some drives are just finnicky with some games?

three different burners and three coasters. All burners were able to burn other copies of other games though so i'm not sure what the issue is

So strange. I guess it must be an issue with the media.

Same as you, I've only ever used Sony discs and rarely ever had a problem. Strange that Ghostbusters would cause a specific issue.

At this point you don't have much choice left except to get ahold of a Verbatim disc, I guess.

Hope it works out for ya.

I've read up on the internet about this topic a bit and it does seem to be an issue with the DVD burner itself rather than the solely media. I found a thread in another forum where somebody had exactly this same problem, using the same burner and ImgBurn, but Phillips media, and when they made their own external burner from an external enclosure and an internal burner drive, the problem stopped. Basically the same situation that I had, as well.

I am starting to think that Verb is the best media, but if you get Sony or other high quality media, as long as you have a high quality DVD burner, it won't be an issue. I guess Verbs can make up the difference for a poor quality DVD burner and still make a burn complete.

different 360 drives matter too, i have one that will rear memosux media fine for the most part, and another that wont load any game at all with the same working media.

The answer is quite obvious... Look above.

Imgburn is a quite stupid program when it gets to
handle certain tasks properly: It makes no sense
at all to retry on write errors. Imgburn does this
retry shit as a global concept: ala just try it 20 times
and maybe it will work... but it does not work on
write errors. Other tools handle that better
(hektosoft hektograph) and do not bother the user with
senseless settings as well. But back to the topic:

A tracking servo error means that the recorder can not
keep in the groove on that medium. Such errors are
severe errors that force the recording to stop.
If that happens more often just reduce the recording
speed on these media types so that is easier for the
recording to stay in the track.

Well, verbatim or any other manufacturer is not the solution
main problem for recording DL media.
The main problem are the manufacturers of the recorders who
(frankly spoken) give a shit about creating fine tuned
recording profiles for the available DL Media types...
That is the reason why verbatim has a slight advantage:
Verbatim (as a big one in the business) gets a more tested
recording profile than the others. But in fact verbatim
disks are not automatically of a better physical quality
than their competitors.
