Wii Disc Read Problem (all discs)

I softmodded my friend's Wii via Wankikoko's(sp?) 4.0 installer but now it won't read any discs, even legit ones. All I did was run a few cios programs and stuff, (the usual) and now he's pissed off. any ideas?

that's pretty vague, but it sounds like you F'd up. You can't just load "some cIOS's" and expect things to be all peachy. Follow this guide HERE

Pay attention and do it right. It's written so that a 3 year old could understand it. Even so, it's amazing how many "adults" can't seem to follow instructions when they're spelled out for them so don't be one of "those guys".

If your modding a friends Wii system you should remember every detail.

I sure wouldn't let you softmod my system if you don't pay attention and can't remember what you did.

Telling us that you ran a few cIOS programs and stuff don't tell us S*@T. So if you want help you better start remembering in DETAIL what you actually did.

Did you install Bootmii? If so did it install as Boot2?

If you haven't tried installing it then install it as Boot2 if possible.

Do this before doing anything else. Let me know if it installed as Boot2 or an IOS.

Also what region is the Wii system?

@Everyone: sorry for the attitude, I just got braces and they hurt like a bitch so ive been a lil on edge all week.

and i fixed my problem by updating to cIOS249 v14

and sry about the lack of detail, he told me wht was wrong two months AFTER i modded it, so I'll give you his address and you can send him hate mail :P
