Can you do a POT calibration w/out a multimeter?

Yes you can, but you shouldn't. You need the multimeter to tell you the values.

I've done lots of GameCubes without a meter with no problem. I always use a fine tipped marker to place a mark at the 12 o'clock position on the potentiometer before adjusting it, so can see it move, but it's not anywhere as accurate as using a multimeter.

Use a multimeter.

I wouldn't attempt a pot calibration without a multimeter. Like chris mentioned they're so cheap it's really not worth the risk.

buy everything you need at harbor freight tools.

buy that and you can take anything apart.

I've had that set for 2 years now and it's helped me fix so many electronics, it will pay for itself the first time you use it.
