Recently burnt wiisports and did not do anything extra to the file. Burnt with img, at 4 speed and it was completed. When it was loaded into the machine and loaded with gamma 6, it return to the menu screen and asked to update the system. I am currently on 4.1e and have completed the latest softmod. Any advise?

I have same problem and i think it really strange I have no idea why it does that. Maybe bug in firmware and I think you mean wii sports resort.

There have been some with this issue. They just accepted the update and it seemed to not harm the softmod.

Yes, I did mean wii sports resort. Has anyone else encountered the same scenario, excepted the update and their wii was left the same as before?

The update installs IOS57 which is not included in the 4.1 official Nintendo update. IOS57 has no harm to your soft mod.
