Hi, i just got the e74 error on one of my xbox's, i fixed it twice but now it doesnt even last longer than 3mins. So anyway i have just bought a rrod motherboard with key off ebay, they told me it used to have sammy drive in there but the drive i want to put in it is my hitachi78, already flashed with 1.51ixtreme, how would i go about installing this drive?
Hi snOwman, your going to have to spoof your Sammy drive or the one that came with that motherboard as a Hitachi 78.. I'm going to go ahead and assume you know how to use Jungleflasher,portio32,mode b,etc,etc.. If your not sure then download the Jungleflasher tutorial whenever possible.. Now if I'm not mistaken your going to have to restore your flashed Hitachi 78 back to stock before spoofing.. After your drive is stock in Firmware 32, your going to open your source firmware which is the Sammy drive key then on the target field load your hacked firmware(ix1.51 or 1.6) then click on spoof to target.!! Now go to the Hitachi section in Jungleflasher and on flashing options select flash iXtreme then flash hacked f/w and you should be all set.. Maybe some of the resident experts can refresh the old memory bank incase I left out some info, good luck brother!!
