I have updated my wii through the update service on the console, now I can't play any updates. I did have a read through on here before and didn't notice anyone having problems after updating. I have an original wiikey running 1.9s I believe. Has anyone with a wiikey got the 4.2E update and still playing backups? If anyone can help me then it would be very much appreciated.
Has anybody got any ideas on this? I am starting to think the wiikey is dead, is this common? My wii wont read any discs I have burnt. It wont read the 1.9s setup disk just says the same thing, please insert a disk. I have checked the connections on the drive and it seems fine, so is it the update that has stopped wiikey from working or is my wiikey dead? I dont mind buying and installing a new one, would I be better to get another original wiikey or upgrading to wiikey 2 and would it be better now to just get a clip to install the chip? I have a D2S chip by the looks of it.
