I stumbled across these forums quite a while back when I heard about a softmod for the original Xbox. I studied a while. Made sure that all my bases were covered, searched and found answers to all my questions before I started. Now I have Xbox's hooked up to all my TV's set up as media centers with large hard drives loaded with games, all connected through a media server. Thanks Afterdawn forums!
A few months later I decided to look into softmodding my Wii. Once again I researched, checked and double-checked all the angles. Now the Homebrew channel is installed on my Wii and, again, I'm running backup games and Homebrew apps flawlessly. Thanks again Afterdawn forums!
A few days ago I decided to go for it with my 360. And again I studied. I researched and read every post on mistakes made to see what to avoid. And now, as of a couple hours ago, my 360 is playing backup games with no problems. So far I have backed up 3 games and played each for quite some time.
So, here I am again, thanking the people here at Afterdawn. Not the first time, probably not the last time (I'm thinking about buying a PS3 after all).
I really appreciate all the hard work in compiling tutorials and answering questions that all the members put in here. I read so many people posting with problems, I just wanted to let you know that I followed the tutorials and FAQ's without a hitch.
Thanks,
Primesghost
PS: You weren't kidding about the Verbatim discs. I have three brands of +r DL discs and only one of them actually completed in ImgBurn and that one wouldn't play for more than five minutes in the 360. I went to Fry's and picked up 2.4X MiS Verbatims and every one has worked perfectly. Go figure :)
Congratulations. I'm glad you took the time to cover everything and make sure you had all your bases covered. Most users just come in here and post "How do I mod my XBOX 360?" and expect everything to be handed to them. So I actually want to thank you! :)
