Here is what I want to do...

I have a backup ISO for Metroid Prime, and I remember a software of some sort like this, My PC has a TSSTcorp CDRW/DVD TSH492B Disk Drive, that's the only one I have, so as you can see, I can play DVDs on my PC, so since it can read them, I have plenty of DVDs that I never watch anymore... so I want to use one of those to wipe out everything in the DVD disc and use it to burn the Metroid Prime ISO? I don't have any blank DVD-R discs because my PC doesn't read those... but I CAN read video DVD-RW discs, like a copy of Bruce Almighty that my older brother gave me a long time ago... Unless there's a MIOS patch that can make the Wii read CDR/CDRW out there...

If this is in the wrong place, please move it for me, but I want to do this for the Wii so I should be right.

Standard DVD disks are also known as DVD-ROM disks (Digital Video Disk - Read Only Media). You cannot write to these. You cannot erase these. From doing a quick google of the TSH492B drive, it is a DVD reader, not a DVD burner.
The wii does not read cd's, nor CDR or CDRW disks. It is a limitation of the laser in the drive.
You can pick up a dual layer dvd burner for less than $40 USD. They are cheaper than dirt (topsoil is approximatly $46/ton). I bought a blu-ray burner with an HD-DVD reader for $200 (CDN) and it burns dvd's too.
dvd-burner - http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?s...facture=Samsung ($30.72 CDN or $28.48 USD (approx))

There IS an edit button. It's in the upper right corner of your original post.

You may want to consider doing a little reading on Wii backups. Question like this are asked and answered several times a week and you seem to have several gaps in your knowledge.

"I have a backup ISO for Metroid Prime, and I remember a software of some sort like this, My PC has a TSSTcorp CDRW/DVD TSH492B Disk ..."

That not a DVD writer. Get a DVD WRITER.

IN addition to what Gh0ce mentioned, the size of the average Wii game wouldn't fit on a CD.

Also, DVD-RWs do not work very well (at all) with a modded Wii.
