Hello,

I need help getting the 4.0 update hack with my wii so i can play Wii Virtual Console and WiiWare games. The reason why i need help is becasue a long time ago i did the twilight hack and my wii system is 3.4U and i just want to get up to 4.0 so im up to date like everyone else.


P.S Just list the step by step to get to 4.0 and the list of the programs i need to get or you can just give me a link with a guide.

ummm the reason why i posted it up is cuz i dont understand the terms that they are using in the guide like for example wheather if my wii is softmodded or if i have LU64 OR LU65 serial on my wii or if i do have a softmodded wii with cIOS36_rev8 or higher cuz i totally forgot everything about teh wii hacking info that i have on my wii.

Did you ever mod your wii?
Look at the serial on back of wii for LU64 or lu65.
Follow the guide. If you dont understand it, then dont do it.

did i ever mod my wii??? are you guys not hearing what im saying? I dont know what it means if someone has modded their wii......therefor that is why im asking what does modding my wii refer to? STOP trying to make it sound like im dumb, and use the term "mod" to explain what it is INSTEAD of saying "Did you ever mod your wii?".

If you dont know what mod means, then I wouldnt "hack" anything.

The word mod is common jargon throughout these forums. It is short for modification.

modchip- hardware change
softmod- software change

The twilight hack is a type softmod.

Before you start installing all sorts of wads and potentially brick your wii. Make sure you use bootmii and backup your nand. You can search the forums to find out what those words mean.
