This is a really nice article, well done! So far I've only used Music Collector, but it's interesting to see the comparison with other software.

It would be interesting if you also made similar articles for other cataloging software, such as for DVD's & Blu-rays, for MP3's, for comics, for books, etc

There are a lot of cataloging tools out there and it can be pretty daunting to find the right one for one's needs.

Any way to import my already large time investment

in files from CD bank catalogue , several thousand cds there

are ready representing many hours of work
