Well I think the titel says it al.
I have a Xbox360 with a 1.5xtreme equipped lite on drive.
Now I want to flash it to 1.6xtreme but I don't have an connectivity kit. Now I read that you only need the kit for extracting the drive keys such as the dummy files and so on, But I still have the drive files from the last time I got my xbox flashed to 1.5
Now my question is:
Am I able to flash my xbox360 to 1.6xtreme without the connectivity kit but with the key drives and If I can could someone explain to me how I need to handle the powering up and down of the drive that is required ?
Thanks in advance
Btw If someone posted this earlier: shut this post, call me an idiot and refer me to the other post, as i was not able to find something remotely related to my issue

Wow, that is extremely embarrassing, especially since I have been searching this site for a good 2 hours, thanks.
A couple of questions though:
Will I be able to get the key files without the connectivity kit, because everywhere I read it says that you need the kit to extract the keys, yet here the sata cable would be enough?
When you're about to write the firmware, you'll have to power down the drive for a sec, does it mean you have to completely yank out the cable of the xbox or does the dvd drive have a powercoard providing power from the motherboard?
AFAIK, You need to extract the keys for a Virgin xbox. As you already have the key, you wont need to use the probe again.
Once you are ready to flash, you need to send the Erase command then unplug the power from the drive and plug back in as fast as you can. You drive will then be in vendor mode and good to go.
Apologies if this response is kinda sketchy, only ever done one virgin lite on before :D
