Hi I needed my orig.bin file for my xbox 360 but i do not have it, but i have the key. Does anyone know what I can do?

get on xbins and download the orig.bin file for whichever drive you have, open it in firmware toolbox, and manually write your key in it. then save it as orig.bin or whatever you want. then you have your file.

by figuring out what drive you have. open the console up, and look on the drive, it will say what make and model it is. such as samsung ms25, or lite-on, or hitachi 47dj or whatever drive it is.

i found a file called LiteOn_iXtreme_83850c-THX_v1.6.rar can that the .bin file in there be used as the orig.bin file for my drive?

which version? there are two versions. look on the lower right corner, it will tell you the version of it. if its the 83850 there is currently no real way of flashing it, other than by paying a company 42 dollars.
if its the older version, 7200 series, then just download iextreme 1.51 firmware for it, and open up the firmware in jungle flasher and manually write the key in, and hit the spoof to source button.
but out of curiosity, what do you need the original fw for. if you are updating the console, you can just dump the firmware and update it, no need to return to stock. that and on a lite-on you cant return it to factory stock.

ok. then you need the orig.bin file for your lite-on. the 83850 file you listed isnt what you need, thats for the new series of lite-ons. xbins should have what you need.
once you get it, you will open up JF and for source you will put in the orig.bin, and type in your dvds key, then open up iextreme 1.51 in the destination, and hit spoof to source, then hit save as file (bottom right corner). use the newly saved file and flash it to your replacement lite-on.
