I'm really starting to think I'm having issue with my burner, so I'm looking into getting a new one. I've searched and every time I find one someone recommends it's usually a older drive now and no one carries it.
If you have to buy a DVD-Burner today, what would u pick?
Here's a little info on the back ground of my issue. I had no issues at first creating/burning my backups. But in the past month I've had random issues. first i was just randomly burning coasters, even though ABGX360 would verify the files before burn. I worked through those and thought I figured it out. Backed up a disc about a week ago and the 360 reads it great, but the PC would read it randomly. So last night I started a DVD burning and went to bed. woke up this morning the PC reads the disc fine, but the 360 won't. But it still reads every other back up fine. So I'm really getting confused and can't narrow it down to one issue.

Any suggestions on my issue? I got to many variables and it's all been random. Sometimes i think it's media because ive burned a backup 3 times and it would work, but then i can burn Data DVD all day long. then another time the DVD-drive would have issues reading the DVD. Sometimes id have no luck and just skip to my next disc to back up. I swtiched burning programs thinking one was bad. Even thought about Win7 being an issue. never really had this many issues all at once.

yea....... i did that to. it was already at the latest one. I flashed it when i got it and it hasn't change any. I wonder sometimes if the laser isn't strong ehough.
Should i even concider Win7 as a issue? So far Win7 has been great, but i did have a few old peices of software not work right.
