I am fixing my xbox as its giving me the two red ring error. Its weird because the rings appear everytime 2 or 3 seconds after i power on the console. I have removed the x clamps and i have replaced them with bolts and washers.

Nope there is nothing that appears on the screen. It doesnt turn on long enough for it to go into the dashboard. I just replaced the xclamps with a phillips screw and one nylon and one metal washer on each side of the motherboard. The heatsinks arent not screwed to the case in any way, just the motherboard.

wow are you retarded? i know how to reflow. Please explain how the x-clamp fix is stupid??? are you stupid??? the x-clamps are the most poorly designed thing ever. They bend along with your motherboard which breaks the solder points. This console however does not need a reflow as its just a 2 red light, not the rrod.

Apparently you are stupid because it's not the xclamps that cause the RROD, it's the solder. I reflow and put the orginials back on and have no issues. The xclamps don't last and in a lot of cases flex the board depending on how tight they are. Xclamp is not near as a good of a fix like a reflow. I can reflow a motherboard much faster than trying to mess with the tightness of the screws too. You know how to reflow? Let me guess, you use a heatgun...

game over im 90% sure your gonna be banned for attacking someone like that

2 red rings means its overheating instantly and its shutting its self down

add a bit more thermal paste and tighten the screw a little more and make sure it isnt shorting out before you do all this.


take the motherboard out and set it on a box and power it on with the fan only and the power board and see if it works if not do the above.
