I have a hundred or so 10min or so videos and I would like to recode them into a single long video. They are all the same video and audio codec as well as the same frame size and rate.
I have two copies of the files, the first 100 labled 1-100 *.mov
and the second 100 are duplicates in 1-100 *.mp4 H264
Does anyone have advice on how to combine them into one massive file.
(I'm open to any program or codec, even if that means re-encoding the files)
The English scientist Michael Faraday (1791-1867) is considered to have been one of the greatest experimental physicists. When Faraday was questioned on his speculations of a life after death, he replied:
"Speculations? I know nothing about speculations. I'm resting on certainties. I know that my Redeemer lives, and because He lives, I shall live also."
Any number of payware program's look like they should do, Movie Joiner or http://www.mp4joiner.com/ For free, something like Alltoavi (don't think it work's on Vista and would hope it batch convert's) and then AviMux_Gui to join (will work on Vista in compatibility mode and is very fast-700MB, less than a minute here). Open the first avi and then drag the rest in in the order you wish, highlight all by selecting the first and dragging the cursor over the rest at the same time. Select "generate data" and in the lower window, highlight audio and select start, saving and naming as you wish. May even work on your file's as is, worth a shot anyway. Make sure you have enough space on your HDD for all this and, if converting to DVD, keep runtime around 2 1/2 - 3 hour's at most, depending on preference and quality of original, more or less. Probably better way's but I don't know of them.
Thanks, looks like I need to convert them first though I'll try with avimux in the morning when it's finished converting lol. Sorry I've joined before but I used virtualdub, and this is more than just a couple files lol.
