I was wondering if it is safe to update an Xbox 360 backup game via the Xbox Live update that prompts whenever I start games that require updates. So far I've just been signing out of Xbox Live instead of updating, and I would really love to be able to be connected to Live while I'm playing. Thanks for the help.

If you have modded your firmware & signed in to Live then your at just as must risk of getting banned same as most of us.
