I have a wii with the wiikey 1 chip installed and updated to 1.9s. After a long period of not using the wii I have forgotten all I knew about updating and copying etc and could now do without the hassle of discs not working and the fear of bricking my console. Can I just remove the chip and revert to bought discs or is it not as simple as that. Any help appreciated. Thanks

May I suggest just cutting/deoldering the power lead in case you change your mind later on?
