Hi I'm new to this forum and not a technical person. I have a mod chipped wii in australia ( Not sure if that makes a difference!! ) I have a backup version of Wii Sports Resort and when I load it, it asks me to update. Do I go ahead or not?? I have heard this can brick my machine so haven't done it. Its one of the earlier wii's with an early mod chip thats about all I can say about it. I realise its prob not enough info but any help appreciated.

As long as the game is the same region as your system then update.

Sorry for prob sounding dumb but how do I know that? The game is a PAL version not sure what my system is? How do I find out?

Go into settings.

Then look at the top right hand corner. If it has a # followed by E then it is a PAL Wii.
