The two popular digital distribution services Steam and Direct2Drive have begun a indie game promotion this weekend, each slashing prices drastically. i like a disc not a digital download i can only play when i'm connected to the net because of DRM!

Why not help indie devs flourish 50-100$ insertion fee and steam/d2d takes 30% of whatever profit is made from them hocking them?

con is that you cannot sell games, but you dont have to search your cd or cd-key when you reinstall windows.

I still havn't forgiven steam for Half Life 2...bought it the day it came out and steam prevented it from running for about 2 months. Even when it worked, I had to go online and dissable my firewall to play single player!

Most of these games are not very good anyway, and I doubt there will be many people who want 2 or more of the titles.
