I put an ad up in craiglist that I wanted to trade my modded 360.
Since I have heard about that guy getting busted it is making me paronoid.
I got an email the other day and called the guy back. He has an 80 gig ps3, plus 2 controllers, 6 games, 15 blueray movies and a ps eye
BUT he wants my burnt games. I have about 50, plus I adding 2 controllers, eye toy, guitar, and 20 gig hardrive.
It is a great deal because I can make over 500 on his stuff on ebay and I have several 360s that I sell. The question is should I trade the games? I dont usually do that but this is a hell of a deal

I think you'll be alright if you trade him. Are you worried that this guy is an undercover cop and he's looking to bust you?
If he came right out and asked you for copied games I don't think he's a cop because that sounds like it would be entrapment on his part. But I'm not a legal expert by any means so....
If you're that worried you could try bargaining with him, maybe offer him 50 blank verbatims instead. Just a thought.
Sounds like a pretty good deal to pass up. Good luck.

Seriously doubt it's a law enforcement. I'd say do it. Sounds like a good deal.

Why are you paranoid?? If you aren't advertising yourself as a modding business and selling pirated games, I have no idea what you are worried about.

Yeah, his stuff he wants to trade you could be worth over 500$, but the 360 games alone is 3000$. Unless they didn't cost you anything. Then you would be sell/trading pirated material. So you SHOULD be paranoid then.

Just make him/her sign an agreement that says you aren't responsible if they don't have the originals and that you are only providing backups as a service.

the thing is if you do provide back ups you must give the originals also or at that point it is illegal,to be honest i wouldnt give out burned games thats 50 counts of fraud if someone did happen to get wind of it.just my 2 cents but i wouldnt ,it is a great deal but is that deal worth 20 years and $200,000.00 worth of fines? granted you wouldnt get 20 years but a lady was sued by some music publishing company for something like 2.3 million bux for file sharing something like 12 songs.i used to download every song, movie, and game i wanted till the fbi sent me an email telling me to delete all of it and stop or go to jail.so i may be bias here.

Yeah, I was too lazy to post the same thing. The FBI didn't email you about that unless you had some crazy ass stuff in that Kazaa folder.

I have received THIRTEEN emails from the MPAA, DMCA, and the RIAA forwarded from my ISP telling me to cut it out. Of course that was when I was stuck on TPB, moved on from there quite a while ago and have yet to receive another email.

I think it's a terrible idea. I would never do it. I'll probably mention that my console is flashed, but I would never give copies of burnt games to someone I didn't know.
Call me paranoid, but I'm covered and wouldn't have any worries.
need jtag help? Xbox 360 console repair? PM me or chat

That's a line I personally wouldn't want to cross. Backing up some games from video rental makes me what? Someone who breaks the copyright laws. But by selling these games or trading them in for other stuff I would become someone living off the work of others.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.
