Xbox 360 0001 Error NO POWER HELP

ok got a 360 from a friend it has rrod. I did the x clamp fix and tried to turn it back on but no luck. As soon as you push the power button it flashes 3 red lights. The power supply unit stays orange and the fans don't come one theirs no power to the motherboard it seems. I get error code 0001 i have already tried another power supply didnt help. From reading i think i have a short in the motherboard or maybe bad mosfets anybody know anything about this.

maybe you have the screws to tight on the xclamp,,and the heatsink is shorting out on the board,,take off the xclamp fix and put on the orignal x clamps on and see what happens,,

or the wrong screws. Probably shorting it out and it's hitting the metal case. OH and the xclamp is a dumb fix. It will break again. Why not reflow it? Reflowing is cheap anymore and much more of a perm fix than a temp fix.

The orange light on the power brick indicates either a faulty power brick. But seeing though you have tried another one, it is probably a faulty power socket or dodgy solder point.
