Lol why would radio shack illegal tools? Well you can make your own, but I wouldn't rely on it. Since you didn't buy the connectivity kit or xtractor, you'll have to buy the xtractor pro 1.2 or connectivity kit w/ probe. Both are around $50, but hey: with modern warfare 2 coming out for $60 in the USA or $80-100 in the UK, $50 is less than the cost of a new game. Also Assassin's creed 2 and a few more games are coming soon. If not, find some guy locally to flash it for you for like $20. I'd personally buy the probe to do it myself though.
If you are so concerned about price you are obviously a kid. Build your own probe. It will cost you $5 or $10 and be a good learning experience for you.

Well the advice stands about the probe. I made my own on principle. I wasn't going to pay $30 and wait a week for something that cost $5 and I knew was simple enough I could build myself.
