Most of the freaking games are $30!!! It may be more convenient for some, but if I'm paying that much, I would rather own a hard copy with a case and a disc! They could be at least cheaper than gamestop or wal-mart. There is no store mark-up nor any physical material required to sale. Why not at the most $20?

I think this is a pretty good thing. If i download a game and need to erase it for some extra space later. I can redownload it whenever i feel like it. So it kinda eases up on the need for a huge hardrive in a way. Still wouldnot mind having 120 gigs or more.
Does the update mean trouble for all you guys with modded consoles and flashed drives who like to play on xboxlive?

It's the 11th and no update yet. I guess it will be later on in the day. I was expecting it right when it turned 12:00 am.

The prices for the clothing and crap is just totally ridiculous, I think last time I looked at Home their clothes are nicer and cheaper (but still, virtual clothes shouldn't cost anything). I find this update to be pretty lame. Only thing I found eye-opening is that it costs $2 for some stupid pom poms when you can go to some dollar store and buy some real ones for $0.99 :P
One of my friends went and bought some of the clothes and then the rest of my friends in the party were makin' fun of him lol

avatar store is a complete rip off...as are the downloadable games....£19 for assassins creed....I can pick up a brand new copy with a case and disc from a store now for £8...I did think that it couldn't get worse than COD £11 for 4 maps...seems it can...poor show from Microsoft...I don't even want to know what there planning to charge us for twitter, facebook, last.fm and sky....starting to see why the PS3 is becoming more popular...once you have the console you don't have to pay for anything but games

I've finally managed to bully one of my 360's into connecting to the internet, the update is being applied now. I also have zero interest in an Avatar marketplace (what am i, 5?) or any of the other updates, i just want the ability to eject discs from the controller.
edit- Phew! - the update worked fine on the one xbox, just got to do the other one

The avatar marketplace can't EVEN appeal to 5yo. Let's face it, Microsoft had the chance to steal a lot of Nintendo's flare for the child audience with the market place. The plus, some of the artifacts in there are cool looking *aka light saber*. But is it worth $10 us for said saber, *bleep* NO? Name me a kid who can manage to convince their kid to dish out that kind of money, unless they come from a rich snobbish lifestyle? Even then they ain't going to bend for something that is just sad and should be free. It would at least be more fun or entertaining if free.
I think that whomever lame brain in MS marketing or Sales department came up with his idea, he/she will be fired before Xmas this year.

Thanks, I apologize for the foul language. I just so used to typing with it as I believe most curse words are not insulting unless its meant as a direct insult to someone. I'll make my best effort to refrain from typing like that in the future, but I won't be surprised if I accidentally let a word or two slip.

Finally got the second xbox updated, so far all i can see that's different is the Disc Eject button for use by the controller.
I won't be buying Avatars in the Avatar Marketplace nor will i be checking out the annoying Twitter & Facebook additions. The update is a bit of a damp squib other than that, but as i say, the Eject button is a welcome addition.
