So I managed to figure out BannerBomb, and I got the Homebrew Channel running and enjoying some emulators and stuff. I decided I didn't want to bother with trying to run back-ups or WADS right now.

My biggest question, is now that I got this far, what kinds of mistakes do users make that brick their Wiis and how hard is it to brick your Wii? Right now I am just playing some NES games on the Wii, and since I could always hook my PC up to my TV and do it that way, it makes me wonder if I shouldn't just remove it all.

Can updating my Wii to newer updates brick it at this point? I'd like to repete at this point all I have done is followed a very simple BannerBomb guide, had DVDx, Homebrew Channel installed and a NES emu. emulator.

there are many ways one can brick their wii. First off updating to the wrong region ie. usa wii installing japanese wii update. Second method is powering off while during a middle of an important installation. This can also occur through wad installations there is a slight chance, but it has never happened to me. 4.0 users downgrading to 3.2, there are safe ways around this but if done wrong it can brick your wii now. Thats all i can think of right now.
