RROD 3weeks after mod?!

K so this was the 6th system I modded. Now has RROD , no image on screen. Other systems before & after this one including mine are absolutely fine and online. Is it possible I could of caused the RROD? (which I think I did) or do you think it was just it's time to go (system is about 4 years old) Any tips or input?? Thanks in advanced!

It's possible that you may have accelerated the process of the RROD by tampering with the case and possibly putting some flex on the motherboard, which would perhaps crack an already fragile solder point. However, if that is the case, then it would have got the RROD eventually anyway.

How many red lights is there? Check that everything is plugged in properly. Otherwise like qwert99 said, it's probably a bad solder point.

Sorry for the late response , kid is hard to get a hold of. There are 3 red lights. Is there a possible fix for this or maybe diagnosticz I can try??

MS will fix it for free. Just get a new warranty sticker from eBay if you need it, and hopefully the case isn't obviously tampered with.

Or you can search for a tutorial on X-clamp fix / RROD fix.
