Question about IOS249 and NeoGamma

Hello I had a quick question about NeoGamma and "IOS249". I picked up NegoGamma R6 over at a different site and put it in the apps folder of my SD card and loaded it with the Homebrew Channel.

When I go to boot up NeoGamma it gives me a warning screen saying I am not using IOS249. Where can I pick this up and how do I install it? Is there any newbie's or idiots guide to using NeoGamma and installing IOS249? Are there better alternatives?

As a final question how likely is it, in this process to brick your Wii, and if I decide to update in the future, can I brick my Wii doing so?

Use the NEW AND IMPROVED WII SOFTMOD GUIDE that is stickied at the TOP of the Wii forum.

I would format your SD Card before performing the Softmod so all other files are off (if you have Game Saves or VC/WiiWare games on SD Card then make sure you backup the files before formating it.

By he way IOS249 is cIOS38_rev14 which is part of the guide. The custom IOS is installed to the IOS249 slot.
