I posted my Q in the other Madden thread but no replies (also it was kinda off topic), better if it has it's own thread
I downloaded the first release of Madden last Fri and it has been sitting on my desktop since then. When I run abgx on it tomorrow / Saturday, will it automatically patch my iso to be the retail vesion??
I honestly don't know in this case since most of the files from that first Madden release were the same as the files for the verified retail rip and it was a matter of timestamp/CRC being different.
Generally it is the other way around, and the files are bad but the CRC/timestamp is good. In those cases ABGX will fix it.
In my opinion, unless you hear from somebody reputable that can verify it would be ok, it'd be safest to just delete it and get the verified rip.

i agree. i had the 1st one on my pc waiting also, but since i wont play till official release, i decided to just get the more reputable one.
The newest release is verified by providing photo proof of the disc and case they got with it. The first one wasn't, and nobody knew where it was from, and it was different from the newest one, so now the older release should be avoided to be safe.
