is there any easy way to get the key other than soldering or using usbxtractor hardware tool?

my lite on drive in bad. I ordered a new BenQ drive to replace it. I had no problem getting key from BenQ...I even flashed it already...not knowing it would not read games unless I get the key from the original(Lite On) drive and use it to spoof my BenQ

You will either need to solder the two points together or use a probe. Thoses are the only 2 options available to you.

Use the search option to find out more info on whatever method you decide (would recomment probe)

How is your Lite-ON "bad"? When dealing with Lite-ONs, it is always wise to spoof to another Lite-ON if you plan on going on Live.

it doesn't read any discs. I had the "Open Tray" error. I had to like open and close the tray about 3-100+ times to get the game to load. my nephew sits there opening and closing the tray for 2-3hours straight just to play Gears. I meant to call custumer support to fix it for awhile but been lazy. eventually I finally called. turned out my warranty was up 3 days ago lol. the reason I got a BenQ is because I heard it is the best drive.

It would be much easier for you to just buy the same model Liteon and switch the pcb boards. This assumes that your issue is a bad laser.

The Open Tray error is usually do to a bad laser. The Lite-ON laser and BenQ laser are swappable. If you drive isn't modded, you would have to dump the key off the drive and then spoof to a BenQ which really isn't recommended for XBOX Live.

If however, you do not play XBOX Live and you already have your drive DVDkey info, you can spoof it to the BenQ.

Easiest route would be to swap lasers if you don't have your Lite-ON info. BenQ and Lite-ON drives are both, very good drives.

but on the Lite On you can't just remove ribbons and re-attach like the other drives. I think you have to do all that soldering stuff

It's only a few wires. Piece of cake.
