Ok so I just flashed my Hitachi drive with iXtreme 1.51 and burnt a backup. The first issue i ran into was using my Macbook Pro to burn it, the only DL burner I have. So I ran a couple various burning programs for the mac and they didn't work. I am assuming that is because they don't allow you to use the .dvd file like some windows programs do. So obviously I would love to find a mac program if anyone has some suggestions. BUT I used parallels to run Windows and used IMGBurn to burn my disc. This time, the game will load but only VERY RARELY. I have managed to get it to load 2 times out of at least like 30+ tries. I don't get an error, it simply tries to load the game for a little bit then gives me the "open tray" icon... I have no idea what to do.
I AM burning at 2.4x, I'm using Memorex discs but I have gotten the game to load so i dunno why that would be the problem... The part that confuses me is why it appears to all work and yet only once in a blue moon. This has me very confused and frustrated and I would appreciate any help you guys can give me, thanks!
Ok so I got the Verbatims and it still didn't work... Which just sent my mind reeling. Anyway, so I did some more research and also talked to the guy who helped me mod it and we decided to try the Pot Tweak and low and behold it worked on my first tweak, didn't even need a meter... Turns out every burn I made (memorex and verbatim) worked.... I'm just so freaking glad to have it working now!
