i think i got a bad dvd rom drive.... Sh*t

i recently bought a SH-D162d drive and have had nothing work right xbc imgburn anything. what is it suppose to say when u insert a 360 game this one opens and says please put in a xbox 360 or something? anyway this drive is supposed to be flashed with kreon 1.00 and it does say that it is on xbc when it reads the drive although nothing works. schtrom tells me "it is a kreon compatible drive, but doesnt seem to be flashed with the right firmware, Drive is used as normal dvd-rom" ive tried re flashing with kreon and that says its not compatible with selected drive and i have the drive selected and the right firmware model number. i dont know if theres anything i can even do with this drive. any advice on fix or should i just look at getting a new drive and selling this one? it said it was a samsung yet there is no samsung label at all on the drive....

if so can anyone recommend any other good dvd burners for backing up games

To copy 360 games, I'd recommend flashing a Lite-ON or BenQ 360 drive with 0800 firmware.

Could've been a bad flash. Try simply re-flashing it. Can't hurt.

finally got it to work had to put it internally on my desktop was last resort cuz i planned on selling the desktop. but this drive will not work with a ide to usb cable no programs will work at all , on a laptop or desktop so that kinda sux. so if your having trouble with this drive and using that cable you may have that problem
