I have preloader .29 on my USA 4.0 wii. However I like the look of bootmii more than the plain text looking interface of preloader, plus i hear bootmii is alot better at preventing bricks than preloader is. I was wondering if its possible to install bootmii after i have already installed preloader? What I want is for when i turn my wii on, i want it to boot to bootmii, instead of preloader.

Bootmii and preloader can be installed at the same time.

But Bootmii really has no purpose except for brick protection and NAND backup and restore (If installed to BOOT2). It can not auto-boot applications or enable special hacks like Preloader can.

Got a similar question. I got 3.2E with Bootmii as boot2. But I´m interested in installing preloader also. Two questions:

1. I´d like to update my SM to 4.1 also. Does it mather if I install preloader first now when I´m on 3.2 or should I go to 4.1E first and then install preloader? I´ve read there are different hacks.ini files for the different versions. Any other things that is different or doesn´t it really mather in which order I do it?

2. When I start the Wii bootmii is starting automatically. I set it to 5s so it will then directly boot to SM. Can I still have it this way even with preloader installed also? Can I somehow deactivate preloader and do the hold reset+power bootup to activate it when I want? Or is that the basic setting?

best regards

dacore84, start your own thread about your problem because hijacking another member's thread is a forum rule no no.

Sry, I thought it was cool since it was over 2 weeks ago since they posted anything here and my questions was similar as daaaniels.

Usually you get a lot of shit on forums if you start new threads when others already have similar content.

But thank I understand.
