Sorry guys, you've probably heard this a thousand times... I'm a complete newbie in this field and i wanna buy a cable box but i didn't realise there was so much choice! I'm confused over which one to purchase. I need the advice of a few wise men! ;)

Which one has the better features? best support? best reliability? I want it to replace my current V.M. digital box.

Thanks in advance for any replies!

Thanks guys! I take it you recommend I get the LATEST kryptview or starview box on the market (ie: Starview4 or kryptview A750)? How often on average would you likely have to update the software/firmware? BTW i'm in Belfast UK using V**gin if that makes any difference.

Cheers!

Wow, i take it with all this talk of the Nagra3 that my plan to buy a cable box is a bit pointless!? Is it just the Republic of Ireland that is effected by this? I'm up here in Belfast but i guess it's just a matter of days/weeks for Nagra3 to be rolled out all over UK? I've read that they've been trying to crack this encryption for over a year now.

Is there any other benefits to having one of these boxes or are they now just a fancy freeview unit?
